Work Experience

Old Square Chambers welcomes applications from high school students, 18 years or younger, for work experience placements.

We have for many years offered placements to a broad cross-section of schools and their pupils throughout the South East. Placements at Old Square Chambers would best suit pupils who might be interested in pursuing a career within the legal sector or as a barrister's clerk, but placements are not exclusively reserved for such pupils. Legal placements are highly sought after and we encourage students to apply a minimum of 6 to 9 months in advance to avoid disappointment.

Work experience placements are for one week only(Monday to Friday) in our London office for selected weeks throughout each year. During your work experience in Chambers you will gain invaluable insight into the role of a Barrister and a Barrister's Clerk, working closely with our Junior Clerks in a busy and often pressured working environment.

PLEASE NOTE: We unfortunately do not have the capacity to accept work experience students in our Bristol Annexe.
