Public Inquiry
|
In addition to the Harold Shipman inquest and the finding of neglect in the Amelia Flight case David has acted in a number of other ‘article 2’ inquests involving a wide ranging enquiry into the circumstances leading up to the death and a narrative verdict. He acted in an eight day inquest again representing prison officers in respect of a suicide in custody at which all issues relating to the officers response were withdrawn from the jury on the basis they had no causative relevance; a four day inquest into the death of an employee in a machine as a result of which the manufacturer of the machine was severely criticised; a week long inquest into the death on a railway crossing of an employee and a much shorter but more emotionally charged inquest into the tragic death during complex heart surgery of a girl in her early teens. |
