Marcus has a growing practice in product liability cases, particularly those brought under Part I of the Consumer Protection Act 1987. He is recognised by the Legal 500 as "a coming star, now extremely experienced in product liability law" (Legal 500 2009). Marcus has experience of individual and multi-party product liability litigation over a variety of different product types.
Marcus has an active research interest in this field and is currently engaged in work comparing the implementation of Directive 85/374/EEC in various EU countries, focussing particularly on England, Germany and Austria. Further, he has been instructed in some recent high-profile cases.

Alan Jackson v Suzuki GB Plc (ongoing)
Pinder v Fox Racing Shox (October 2008, High Court, Plender J) 8 day product liability trial in October 2008 in the High Court. Marcus was instructed to act, with Barry Cotter QC, for the claimant.
The Sabril Group Litigation (February 2007 - July 2008, High Court, Beatson J) Marcus was instructed to act in this major group action, with Barry Cotter QC and Charles Pugh on behalf of the Claimants and worked on the case from February 2007 to July 2008.
