News - High Court Rules in Favour of Lithuanian Workers in Modern Slavery Case

On Monday 8th April 2019, the High Court ruled in favour of a group of Lithuanian men who brought a claim against their employer for significant breaches of their contractual entitlements in a case exemplifying modern slavery.

The case broke new ground in holding the sole director and company secretary personally liable for inducing breaches of the contracts between the company and its employees.

John Hendy QC, instructed by Leigh Day, represented the men.
