At this year's Laurence Stracey debate held on Monday 28 September 2009 at the V&A, Jennifer Eady QC and Emma Smith of Old Square Chambers proposed the motion “Religion or belief has no place in the workplace” and tenaciously defended it against fierce opposition in the form of David Reade QC and Gavin Mansfield from Littleton Chambers.
