Kate Bleasdale v. Healthcare Locums Plc

Following a hearing over 12 days in April 2012 in the case of Kate Bleasdale v Healthcare Locums Plc ("HCL") and others, Judgment by the Employment Tribunal at London Central was sent to the parties on 21 June 2012 in which the Tribunal unanimously dismissed Ms Bleasdale’s claims for unfair dismissal, sex discrimination, victimisation, and detriments and dismissal because she had made one or more protected disclosures.

Ms Bleasdale, who founded HCL in 2003, was its Executive Vice Chairman and most senior executive officer at the time of her summary dismissal in March 2011 for gross misconduct.

Emma Smith represented HCL and 4 of the 5 individual respondents against whom Ms Bleasdale issued claims. Emma was instructed by Tom Walker of Manches.
