Old Square Chambers’ barristers are instructed by Financial institutions, corporate clients, individuals, IFA’s and organisations covered by the FSA regulations to advice in matters involving employment, regulatory and contract law.

Old Square have an extensive range of Counsel with proven expertise in employment law and associated contract law disputes. Our members advise and act both for and against international banks, building societies, Corporate entities, accountancy firms and individuals. The recent changes in regime brought by the UK Government have increased the duty owed by those organisations, individuals and their employees. We are well placed to advise on those extended liabilities and the vicarious liability of their employees actions, including any which result in criminal prosecution.

In most large organisation there are often claims of whistle blowing, which can be detrimental to both the employee and the employer, especially if covered by the press. We are recognised for our experience in handling high profile/sensitive matters. Counsel are able to offer industry specific expertise and guidance on the best strategic settlement in these matters.

We have a comprehensive understanding of the regulations controlling use and restrictions of the use of confidential information by financial institutions and their employees, both present and former.
