Who might be affected by transport?

Companies providing private and public passenger services, freight/logistics operators in road and rail, fleet and logistics companies and infrastructure providers (such as Network Rail) are among the clients instructing Old Square Chambers on a full range of legal issues.

Long-standing automotive clients for employment and discrimination work include Ford, Land Rover, Jaguar and Aston Martin.

What transport and travel services can we offer?

To deliver a ‘cradle to grave’ approach for clients and to assess the impact of criminal proceedings on a civil claim, our Motor Defence Team works in conjunction with the Personal Injury Group. The team represents drivers involved in fatal collisions and provides advice and representation on all areas of motoring  including speeding, the avoidance of disqualification on penalty points or “totting up” (exceptional hardship), driving without due care and attention (careless driving), dangerous driving and drink driving.

Companies or individual being investigated or prosecuted by the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency ("VOSA") can call upon our barristers with extensive knowledge of this area and who have appeared in a number of VOSA investigation cases.

Old Square Chambers barristers are also skilled in foreign claims. Previous work includes handling cases involving employers' liability for accidents abroad, fatal accidents abroad, air accident claims, lost/delayed baggage claims, denied boarding claims, holiday and consumer claims, maritime claims and claims in the provision of foreign services and property.
